off and on since 2009 i’ve dabbled in the realm of food photography. i truly enjoy capturing the beauty in food. doing so in natural light and with studio lighting, even off camera flash! it’s always been something i’ve done for fun, personal projects, still life’s, etc… but this weekend i’m presented with a unique opportunity, i get to be a student in an upcoming creativeLIVE workshop!
creativeLIVE has a Food Photography workshop featuring Andrew Scrivani. Andrew is a wonderful commerical/lifestyle photographer, focused in food photography & styling. He’s photographed several cook books, as well written/shot for the New York Times. Andrew’s workshop is going to be 3 full days, from the basics of food styling to the gear to create beautiful images.
creativeLIVE is bringing in a special guest, Shauna Ahern of Gluten Free Girl. along with all the photography, the workshop will also include recipe selection and blogging.
what’s so fabulous is anyone in the world can tune in and view the FREE LIVE broadcast of Andrew’s workshop. if you’re a photographer who’s into food, or a foodie who’s into photography, or a food photographer interested in seeing how a published lifestyle photographer makes it all happen, then you should check the workshop out! For more details check out the course page: creativeLIVE has a Food Photography with Andrew Scrivani.
two more things to note about this class…
one. there’s a google+ hangout, Wednesday July 17 at 4:00 PM Pacific Time.
two. there’s a hashtag on instagram for everyone to share their #foodphotoLIVE images. so if you like to take mobile snaps of your meals, creativeLIVE wants to see them… so use the tag #foodphotoLIVE during now! 🙂
here’s a few of my food fotos, i’m truly looking forward to taking my food imagery and styling to the next level!
thanks for reading and i hope to see you online!
