Quick Tip: Squaready

If you use Instagram you notice that the format is all squared up. For me, personally I love it. There’s just something about that format that works for me. But it’s definitely not for everyone. Now there are other social photo sharing platforms that don’t have such a restriction, like EyeEm or Flickr, but there is a way you can work around this, if you really want to share non-square images on Instagram.Check out Squaready! It’s a free app for the iPhone. What it does is allow you to import any image, a panorama, a portrait or landscape image and pop it into a square. You're basically adding a “border around the image” to make it square.squaready1Once imported you can make the border just about any colour, or even have it create a copy of your image, blur it out and have that be the border. So give this a go the next time you’ve captured a stunning panorama and want to share it over on Instagram without cropping the image!squaready2squaready3Final image, Instagram ready!squaready4Is it square or isn't it? ;-)They also have a version available for videos: Squaready for Video
