Headshot/Portrait session with Brian

I've known Brian for at least 8 years. Brian and I met through a mutual friend, and we all had a love of photography. Brian worked with me and a group of photographers on a Help Portrait Seattle event back in 2009, and we’ve been friends since. Brian is one of the most generous, kind people I've met in Seattle.Brian reached out to me just a few days ago; he was starting a new job as Chief Marketing Officer for a start up and he needed a new headshot for a press release. We agreed to met at a spot, convenient to him, but filled with a variety of potential backgrounds. I knew we would get that one headshot he needed, but I always want to capture more options. One of the things I love to do along the way in these sessions is grab a couple of iPhone shots. With the fancy new iPhone 8 Plus and portrait mode, it’s honestly quite a pleasing result. So in this last frame I did just that. For the Photographers readingEverything was captured with the Fujifilm X-T2 with the 35m f/1.4 or 56mm f/1.2, OR the iPhone 8 Plus, because why not, using available light. The clouds were moody that day. ;)
