On the Road 2018: Crater Lake National Park

KATE8211.jpg
How many miles have you driven in a single day on a road trip?I spent the early part of fall on an extended road trip from Seattle to LA. On the first day I managed 470 miles, which honestly isn’t something I would recommend. That’s a lot in a day, but I had a destination goal in mind and I made it happen.

That destination was Crater Lake National Park in Oregon.

I’ve been to quite a few national parks over the years but had yet to visit Crater Lake. I’m a city girl, through and through, but have a long love and appreciation of the beauty of all the natural wonders around the world. In the United States we are extremely lucky to have miles and miles of landscapes which are simply put: stunning.

Walking up to this view point I felt an immediate calm. I paused to take it in and enjoy it. And of course, capture it. I know so many of us run from here to there to see all of the things but it’s so important to pause, breathe and experience it.
