Snapseed has been busy working on expanding the already extensive feature base of their mobile app. Since I began using Snapseed, I’ve always been a fan of their app. It’s one of the most robust mobile editors in the marketplace and it’s free!FacesHave a play with Snapseed’s latest filter set: Faces. As with many filters, I always recommend using filters with care, especially this one. The idea is to do some “retouching”, automatically, but it’s not perfect and a little goes a long way.Original Snapkate_origModerate Filter - Default settingsProcessed with Snapseed.Close up - You can see how things are a bit too smoothProcessed with Snapseed.Final - Moderate Filter: Face Spotlight +25, Skin Smoothing + 15, Eye Clarity + 25Processed with Snapseed.TextA month or so ago Snapseed introduced this feature as well. There are many occasions where we want to add text to an image, perhaps an inspirational quote, perhaps the name of a city we’re visiting. I rather like the options available in this filter, so take a peek and check it out.You can add text, change the opacity, the colour and the format: font and layout.Pinch and zoom to increase or decrease the size of the text.Processed with VSCO with 4 presetOne additional feature: Snapseed now supports the RAW file format for over 100 cameras. With this you can import images from a variety of cameras to edit, it’s not just for your iPhone images anymore.Do you have a favourite photo editing app? If so, lemme know!
