We are a vibrant community of photographers, photo enthusiasts, and creatives dedicated to exploring Seattle and growing together creatively. Whether your heart beats for the latest digital camera bodies or you have a passion for the nostalgic tactile experience of analogue film, you have a place here. From seasoned professionals to beginners picking up a camera or mobile phone for the very first time, our group focuses on supporting each other, sharing our work, and making photography an inclusive, social experience.

Our calendar is anchored by monthly photowalks designed to get you out into the city’s varying neighborhoods, parks, and hidden gems. These walks are the perfect blend of capturing compelling imagery and hanging out with fellow photo nerds. We intentionally slow down to notice the transitional beauty of the changing seasons, architectural details, and unique street scenes that make the Pacific Northwest distinct.

In addition to the monthly gatherings, we host the occasional happy hour event, creating an opportunity to share a pint, a print and just hang out.

Seattle Photowalks was originally founded as Seattle Flickrites in 2005. Over the years its primary hub for communications was via Meetup. Around 2016, Kate renamed the group to Seattle Photowalks, due to the broader variety of photo sharing platforms.
